 "We Are The World" is back 25 years later this time to benefit the victims of the tragic earthquake that struck Haiti just a few weeks ago.  Singers from all ages, and genres came together to make history again.

Celebs Strut The Runway For Swarovski at the Red Dress Collection!

Celebrities came out last night to support and raise awareness for heart disease at  Swarovski at the Red Dress Collection by walking the runway and looking fab while doing so. Ever body from Regina King, Raven Simone and my favorite Kim K was there.

The Next Big Thing: Laura Izibor!

She's  the epitome of the New American Mainstream even though she's the Irish RnB Singer that everyone is talking about. Funny thing is that Laura Izibor's race seems to keep coming up when she's in the states.

“It’s funny, the fact I’m black always, always comes up in the US,” she says. “It nearly helps win them over. But I have to acknowledge it, otherwise, it’s kind of hanging there. I recently did a gig at BB King’s in New York. It attracts a very mainstream audience. And they were all like, ‘what the hell? Black and Irish?’ So I acknowledged it and then they were like, ‘oh well, at least she said it’. They walk away thinking — hey, maybe there are black people in France, too? And in England’. They think the only black people are Africans or African-Americans. They way I see it, I’m educating them.”

Red Carpet Hair At Home!

The styles we lust for on the red carpet now can be done at home. Here are a couple of my favorites!

 Jennifer Lopez

How to Do It
1: Apply Oil Treatment on wet hair, create a middle part and blow dry.
2: Use a 1-in. iron to curl entire head.
3: Finger-brush curls, moving them away from the face, then apply Hydrating Style Cream.
4: Brush hair out and backcomb roots. Finish with Luminous Hairspray.

 Rihanna

 How to Do It
1: Create a foundation for the style using Silkening Shine Relaxer System.
2: Apply Foaming Wrap Lotion to the longer hair at the crown, molding upwards and towards the right side of the head. Sit under a hooded dryer to set.
3: Apply Original Oil Moisturizer Hair Lotion throughout hair and then use a flat iron on small sections of hair in an upward motion.
4: Finish with Shine Enhancing Pomade.

Penelope Cruz 

How to Do It
1: Work Gel Serum through hair. Spray with Imperméable anti-humidity spray.
2: Set hair with hot rollers.
3: Brush loose curls into place and spray with Superfine Hair Spray.
4: Pin back hair on one side with a bobby pin and spray again to set.

Janet and Jermaine Reunite!

Although Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson are no longer together, the couple plan to make music together. Rap-Up reports that the tandem will reunite for her upcoming album this year. Other producers involved include, Bryan-Michael Cox and Rodney Jerkins. Don’t call it a comeback?

"When Style Meets Status"

- Our ModestE', a chic and trendy women's clothing and accessory boutique, will present its 1st Annual Charity Style Auction and cocktail reception this upcoming Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The auction and reception will be held at The Chestnut Club at Arcadia Theatre located at 1529 Chestnut Street in Downtown Philadelphia.
 
"When Style Meets Status" charity auction and reception will certainly be an evening of bliss! Starting with a high-end runway show/charity auction and ending with a complementary light dinner prepared by noted culinary artiste, Chef Smiley. During the cocktail reception, there will be a live band entertaining guests as they indulge in their succulent cuisines and stimulating conversations.
Not only will the charity style auction feature pieces from Our ModestE' Boutique, there will also be designs from designers Rashad Corey & Production Team, who also has produced runway shows for both Philadelphia's and New York's Fashion Week.

ALL proceeds generated from the charity style auction will be donated directly to The American Red Cross' Haiti Relief Fund to help rebuild Hiati and its patrons as well as the Peace & Love Foundation, the organization that targets the youth ,promoting non-violence.
