Target Opens in East Harlem
Manhattan's first Target is set to open in East Harlem later this month on July 25. In honoring the special history of the megachain's new locale, Target partnered with local designers Isabel and Ruben Toledo, Stephen Burrows (whose colorful design is shown here) and celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. Each designer created a limited-time only collection capturing the effervescent spirit of the historically Black neighborhood...

Marty Mart Gets Married!
Martin Lawrence and his longtime girlfriend, Shamicka Gibbs, were married in an intimate wedding on Saturday at the actor’s home in Beverly Hills, PEOPLE confirms.
Lawrence, 45, and Gibbs, 35, exchanged Christian vows in the backyard in front of 120 guests, including Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington. Their daughters Lyana, 9, and Ameria, 7, and Lawrence’s daughter Jasmine, 14, from a previous marriage were flower girls.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds joined their guests under a tent for a reception. For the family-style celebration, event designer Diann Valentine arranged for two long tables in the shape of an “X” for all the guests to sit together. “They wanted an intimate celebration,” says a source. “This wedding was all about family.Source

Ray Charles Musical Pushed Back.
Producers announced Friday that "Unchain My Heart" will open in the spring instead of its planned opening Oct. 8. The musical is produced by Stuart Benjamin, who worked with the R&B legend for 15 years and produced "Ray," the hit movie about Charles.
Benjamin cited "logistical reasons" for the date change. The production was to play at the Barry Theatre but will instead open at the Shubert Theatre.
The show is to feature a book by Suzan-Lori Parks, direction by Sheldon Epps and star Brandon Victor Dixon as Charles.

Damn Beans is acting like Jay-Z was his father, who left hm hungry. Get over it and move on, everyone n the music industry snakes, its the way the game works. Take that time and energy and invest in some new music. Smacking people will only send you right back where he came from and then who's fault will that be. Lebron James Being Sued By Man Claiming to Be His Faher.

According to TMZ a man by the name of Leichester Bryce Stovell has filed a 4 million dollar law suit against Lebron and his mother Gloria, claiming they falsified DNA results to prove he wasn't Lebron's biological father. Here's how its being reported.
"In his suit, Stovell claims he has a very clear recollection of the night he had “consensual sexual relations” with Gloria — in fact, he even remembers apologizing for his sub-par performance.
Leicester claims Gloria went back to her hometown in Ohio after they hooked up — but returned several months later to inform him she was pregnant with a boy named LeBron … but she never specifically identified the father.
Leicester — a self-proclaimed high school star athlete — says he remembers telling Gloria, “Well, if he’s mine, make sure he plays basketball.” He claims that was the last time he saw Gloria for more than 20 years.
According to the docs, Leicester claims he reconnected with Gloria over the phone in 2007 — when he began to think he could be LeBron’s father … partly because they look almost identical.
Leicester claims during the 2007 phone call — Gloria denied ever meeting him — threatened to have him physically harmed — and told him, “LeBron’s money is for his children.”
A few days after the phone call, Leicester claims LeBron — through his lawyer — agreed to take a DNA paternity test.
Leicester claims he was given results that showed he was not LeBron’s dad … but several months later, he began to suspect that the results were tampered with … and Gloria and LeBron were behind the fraud.
So why would LeBron participate in such a cover-up? Leicester claims it’s all, “due to anger at perceived abandonment and conflict arising from his image as a successful fatherless child from the projects.”
He also claims that Gloria had “fabricated” a story about LeBron’s real father for the “one dimensional commercial image-making purpose … to make [LeBron's] life suggestive of Spike Lee’s popular 1998 sports drama film, ‘He Got Game.’”
Leicester is now seeking $4 million from both LeBron and his mother — claiming fraud, defamation and misrepresentation.
Its quite odd to me that this successful Princeton grad lawyer needs to sue someone for 4 million dollars, if it is not about money. And even if it is proven that he is Lebron's father, if he doesn't want anything to do with the man than what he is going to do? He so conviently told his mother to make sure Lebron plays basketball as, if that means anything. If he was 29 and she was 15, why would she hide her son from a man that could have took care of him, if he was willing. Although I must admit that pic has me thinking. Oh the drama....

Lindsay Lohan Sentenced To 90 Days in Jail.
A judge sentenced Lindsay Lohan on Tuesday to 90 days in jail and an inpatient rehab program after finding the actress had violated the terms of her probation in a 2007 drug case.
The actress immediately burst into tears after the ruling.
Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel issued the sentence after listening to testimony from employees of an alcohol treatment program that Lohan had been ordered to attend.
Lohan missed seven classes since December, which led to the judge's harsh rebuke of Lohan moments after the "Mean Girls" star offered a tearful apology.
"I did do everything I was told to do and did the best I could to balance jobs and showing up," Lohan told the judge. "It wasn't vacation, it wasn't some sort of a joke."
Revel said she found Lohan's apology insincere, comparing it to "somebody who cheats and thinks it isn't cheating if she doesn't get caught."
Lohan was not immediately taken into custody and will be permitted to surrender on July 20. She will have to wear an ankle alcohol monitor until then.

This just might be the Amy Winehouse fix I have been longing for. Keeping my ears to the streets, about this album. Philly and the UK soul coming together only great music can come from this!!!!!
Word is that singer Amy Winehouse is trying to form a super group with drummer ?uestlove and Raphael Saadiq. But due to her inability to obtain a visa, the band has gotten off to a slow start. Winehouse was barred from the U.S. following a 2008 arrest. But where there’s a will, there’s a way. And ?uest told The Sun that they’re finding ways around the roadblocks.
"“The group will definitely happen.It’s just the closest she can come to the States is Jamaica. I’m off to France soon so I’ll see if she’s up for discussing it over dinner. We’re Skype-ing the shit out of each other.”
