Gun Activist Speaks About "Video Phone" Music Video.

Lady Gaga's wild ways have earned her an enemy.
After using prop pistols during her live stage shows, and waving around faux firearms with Beyoncé in the video for their hit single, "Video Phone," gun safety group the Brady Campaign is taking on the popstar.

"The music was fine, but I wonder why they went out of their way to glorify guns in their production," campaign president, Paul Helmke wrote on their website. "Beyond the sexual stereotype of guns in general, it's hard to understand why they are in the video at all."

But why the sudden interest in the not-so-recently-released music video and its stars?
The twosome, as well as soon-to-be-jailed-on-gun-charges rapper, Lil Wayne, are set to take the stage at Sunday's Grammy Awards, and the activists are looking for the broadcast to be held accountable for the message it is allegedly sending.

"I can hear people say, 'Hey, it's just show business,' and that Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne each put on a good show. I understand that," explained Helmke.

"Yet it is difficult to deny the influence that these entertainers have on our popular culture and the young people who absorb it," he continued. "Guns aren't toys, even when they're made with pretty colors or sung about in rap songs, and it is dangerous to treat them that way.

"It is a deadly problem that more of us—including celebrities—should take seriously."
Neither CBS nor a rep for the Grammy's have as yet responded to the criticism

Seriously Kelis.... SMH

She is beginning to scare me..

Things Guys Don't Get About Fashion!

I now that when I get dressed to go out rather it be a date, out to party, shop, and sometimes even work. I get dressed.  I do it for me, but subconsciously I probably do it for guys too. I always wonder do they really care for this. The clothes, shoes, jewlery. Does it really matter?

Really High Heels

Call me crazy, but if a gal looks like she’s really uncomfortable in the shoes she’s wearing, it makes me uncomfortable—I don’t care how hot the shoes are. I’m not saying you should rock New Balances instead, but if you can’t wear those heels without grimacing every step, maybe save them for seated events.

Hippie Headbands

Hipster girls have started wearing what look like belts on their heads. It’s cute in a pathetic way because it looks like they got confused while they were getting dressed.

Furry Boots in The Summer

I can’t help but laugh when I see urban women sporting those super-furry Ugg boots. Sweetheart, you’re not competing in the Iditarod or about to plant a flag on Everest. Your run to get a blueberry smoothie and a manicure doesn’t require extreme survival gear.

Fancy Swimwear

What’s with wearing fancy shoes, jewelry and makeup when you’re just hanging out at the pool?

High Waist Jeans

I’m not a fan of the high-waist jeans some girls wear—it reminds me too much of my old elementary-school teachers.

Lupe Fiasco Halts New Mixtape Because Of Recent Leaks

Thanks a lot, music thieves and Internet hackers — or at least the ones who have been pillaging through Lupe Fiasco's new joints. Because of you guys, the MC said he's not putting out the sequel to his Enemy of the State: A Love Story mixtape anytime soon.

"I was plotting on doing the follow-up to that," Lupe said. "Simply because [Enemy of the State] was short. And I felt like it was space to do another one. I was gonna do another one called Friend to the People, but I started to get wind that people had songs they shouldn't have had. I was like, 'This is just gonna open the floodgates if I come out with another record.

I know these dudes are threatening to leak records and do crazy stuff.' Sometimes I feel there may be too much Lupe music out there — whether it be old stuff or new stuff or freestyles. I don't want to have a ton of music sitting out. I made the decision to fall back from it and really focus on the climb. We were a couple of weeks away from doing that."
The climb he referred to was his recent Mount Kilimanjaro trek. There was also another Lupe mixtape that DJ Absolute was supposed to be putting out.

Lupe will be on MTV Mixtape Monday giving an exclusive interview and performances.
