K'Naan song chosen as official 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem

'Wavin' Flag: The Celebration Mix' will be used globally during the tournament
K'naan's song "Wavin' Flag" has been named as the official anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
A remixed version of the track called "Wavin' Flag: The Celebration Mix" will soundtrack the campaign, which kicks off in South Africa on June 11 next year, reports Cbc.ca.
The news comes as officials in Cape Town prepare to make the draw for the tournament's qualifying groups on December 4.
Last month New Order bassist Peter Hook said John Barnes was willing to re-record his famous rap (as featured on the England team's official song, 'World In Motion', in the 1990 campaign) for use in next year's competition.

Congrats!

Jay "On To The Next" Video.

Consider it a late Christmas present from Hova Claus. Jay-Z announced Monday (December 28) that the next video from The Blueprint 3 will premiere during "NBC's New Year's Eve With Carson Daly."

The Brooklyn MC is set to debut a clip for "On to the Next One," a futuristic number produced by Swizz Beatz. The video arrives on the heels of the Anthony Mandler-directed "Young Forever," which hit the Internet last week. That video was serviced for overseas use only, according to a representative for Atlantic Records, which distributed the Roc Nation project.

The clip for "On to the Next One" will be the fifth from The Blueprint 3, following "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)," "Run This Town," "Empire State of Mind" and the aforementioned "Young Forever."

Jay-Z will also appear on NBC's New Year's Eve special, alongside Rihanna. The two pre-taped performances of "Umbrella" and "Run This Town" a week ago in New York at Rockefeller Plaza during a snowstorm. In addition to Jay-Z and Rihanna, Green Day are also scheduled to appear on the Carson Daly-hosted celebration.

"The real star of any New Year's Eve show is New York City, and Jay-Z is New York," Daly said in a statement. "Green Day and Rihanna were already an impressive lineup, and now, with the addition of Jay-Z, it's our most exciting lineup yet."

Tyra Leaving Daytime Television.

Tyra Banks tells People she's "been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years" but that "The Tyra Show" will be off the airwaves at the end of the 2010 season.

After the show ends, Tyra wants to focus on Bankable Studios, a New York-based film production company. A source close to Tyra told People, "With Oprah's big announcement this year, I think that gave Tyra the confidence to get out there and follow her longtime dream of film producing."

To be perfectly honest I will not miss the Tyra show 5 year was long enough for me. When she started having guess with booger eating problems and urine drinkers, I lost interest. But anyway good luck to her.

Now about ending that Americas Next Top Model......

Tina Knowles Files For Divorce

I can't say I didn't see this coming. I'm actually trying to figure out what took so long. After all the rumors of Papa Knowles infidelity and alleged drug use Tina has had enough. Rumors surfaced a couple of month ago about Matthew Knowles pregnant mistress, who is has since then filed a paternity suit against him, claiming the child she is carrying is his. According to Bossip, Tina Knowles fled for divorce under her full name the name "Celestine Knowles". As of now the court documents aren’t available to view due to confidentiality but were filed early last month and our source assures us it’s a go. This is a developing story so check back for more on this story later.

A Star Is Born: Complex Mag Does J. Cole Diary.

Late last week, we caught up with the promising young artist on The Blueprint 3 Tour’s second-to-last stop in college town, Champaign, Illinois. We documented the entire night and captured everything from run-ins with Wale and Pharrell to Cole’s thoughts on fashion, groupies, and peer competition. Keep reading to check out a gang of photos and quotes that take you into BP3 Tour experience from a Complex perspective…

7:50: J. Cole Hits The Stage
“It seemed like the stadium was set up weird tonight, but I still feel good about it. My goal every time is to leave with more fans than I started with.”

Complex: What do you guys say to people who think J. Cole killed Wale on that record?
J. Cole: I wouldn’t say that. I got the obvious lines. His verses are still crazy if you really sit down and listen to them. And not to take anything away from my verse, because it’s definitely on point, but we’re in the day and age where niggas are so competitive and people got their favorites, that nobody wants to just enjoy it as a good song, which it is. They wanna say, ‘he killed him.’
Wale: It’s no way to not perceive it as such. He’s the new guy now. His verse is amazing. It’s like when AZ came on “Life’s A Bitch.” It’s a fresh face. I don’t stand a chance as far as perception goes, but I think they’re equally as good. Why can’t it just be a good song though? Everybody feels like they have to like one of us. Nobody was even on ‘who killed who’ 10 years ago.

10:45: Talking To Pharrell
“It feels good to have someone like that compliment you. It doesn’t gas my head up or anything, but it lets me know I’m on the right path. He goes out of his way to let me know that he’s fucking with me or to have a talk with me. I see it as another sign that I’m doing the right thing.”
